Canterbury Business - The Lowdown: Lianne Dalziel

Current Mayor of Christchurch, Lianne Dalziel, joins us for the second episode of our new podcast series.

In her third term as Mayor of Christchurch, Lianne has yet another crisis on her hands following earthquakes, flooding and a terrorist attack. We find out how she’s managing the pandemic situation and how you run a city from home.

"If there's one thing we've learnt from the earthquake experience that we've had as a city, it's that there's nobody who can do it for us, and there's none of us who can do it alone. This is something that we are literally in it together."

The series represents people in Christchurch working in the business, hospitality and tourism sectors living through the nationwide lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosted by Dave Dunlay, we're chatting to key figures in the Christchurch community to see how they're coping during isolation.

Stay tuned for more guests coming next week, including Student Volunteer Army founder Sam Johnson.
